Terms of Business

Contracts always seem rather unfriendly but this one is here to offer you protection and clarity over what to expect from us and vice-versa. We very much look forward to working with you and to make your dream of being your own boss and benefitting from your own hard work a reality!

Terms of Business

Please read these terms of business carefully. We have tried to make them as clear and as user- friendly as we can. It will be deemed that upon payment from yourself you agree with these Terms of Business. Where we say you, yourself or your in these terms we mean you as the member, where we say we, us or our we mean MORE to Business Ltd.

The date of commencement of these terms of business will be the date that this agreement is signed. One you have signed this agreement it becomes a legally binding contract between you and us. More to Business Ltd (registered company number 5469825) is the business trading as The Keepsake Company (TKC). The registered address for More to Business Ltd and TKC is Coppers, Weston Town, Evercreech, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6JG.

How much will it cost……

Payment is to be made in full prior to the commencement of any work on our part.

If you are joining as part of TKA, payments are to be made within 7 days of securing your postcode area through TKA. Securing your postcode is completed through a telephone call with staff at TKA office. Failure to make payment within this time will result in the postcode being made available to other enquirers. If you are joining as part of More a postcode check will not be necessary.

Payments are non–refundable.

What happens once payment is made……

Within 10 working days of payment, TKA or More to Business Ltd (depending on your chosen package) will send out your relevant documents and where appropriate, chosen kit, business manuals, checklist and a 6 week process of branding/website information.

Please refer to your “services provided by us” checklist for the support you can expect from us.

We would ask that you do join in with the online calls that we offer as part of your package. These are a vital source of support and guidance. You will be missing out on the complete service that we offer if you choose to miss these calls.

If you have booked a specific 1:1 call with any one working on behalf of TKA or More to Business Ltd we expect you to keep to that appointment. Please provide 24 hours notice of cancellation. We of course understand that emergencies may arise and we will be sympathetic to those circumstances. However, these calls are booked with experts who charge for their time whether you turn up for the call or not. Repeated failure to keep to appointed calls may result in us invoicing you to cover the wasted costs. This could be up to £150 per missed call.

As you graduate into the main group you will be offered the opportunity to join the closed Facebook groups – the peer led TKA facebook group and The More Support Facebook group. We ask that if you have specific questions for a member of staff you email the staff member directly and not tag them in a post. This ensures we answer your questions and they do not get “lost” in the posts. We would draw your attention to the conditions attached to this membership below.

So what happens if one of us is unhappy……..

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service we are providing to you please raise your concerns immediately with Victoria Casebourne. Every effort will be made to reach a satisfactory solution.

In circumstances where we consider you to have breached, we will give consideration to withdrawing our services. This serious step will only ever be taken after Victoria Casebourne has had a detailed conversation with you outlining the reasons.

Facebook groups membership – just a couple of things……

With the ever increasing role of social media we specify that grievances relating directly to the service we provide to your business must not be aired within either of our Facebook groups. If you are unhappy, please contact Victoria Casebourne as above.

Contacting other members through private messaging…….

We have developed the role of Support Angels to provide you with the support needed to help you make your business every success that you want it to be. Any support from the Support Angels needs to be through Group Calls or pre-booked calls. Please do not private message your Support Angel. Staff members at TKA office are available to be of assistance along with Victoria Casebourne. It is a condition of this contract that you do not privately contact other members of TKA to ask for advice, assistance or guidance relating to your business unless invited to do so. It has come to our attention in the past that this has put unwanted pressure on members of TKA. We have a super, supportive team of members but restrictions need to be in place to protect members from additional pressures.

Setting up sub-groups

It is only fair that only members get to benefit from the services they are paying for and that these services should not be available to any other person outside of TKA group free of charge. It is a condition that members do not share information obtained from within the group with any “sub-group”. This protects ourselves for insurance purposes and protects everything about your business – including marketing and product ideas.

If we receive information that you have breached any of the above conditions we will consider withdrawing our services to you and remove you from the Facebook groups. No fees will be refunded to you.

  1. Insurance

We have statutory business insurance to provide these services to you. (TKA members do not hence the above clause.) It is your responsibility to source the appropriate business insurance for your own business. We can offer guidance with regards to this.

  1. Liability

We are not liable for any losses incurred by you in starting or running your own business. Our purpose is to guide and support you through a process and whilst we strive to offer the best and as in depth service that we can, ultimately the success of your own business depends on you and your commitment to making it work. We pride ourselves on not being a franchise and encouraging you to take ownership of your own successes and hard work. We can guide you through each step but each step has to be completed by you for your business.

  1. Products and supplies.

We have tried and tested hundreds of products and have approved suppliers based on the quality of products and customer service. We strive to ensure that these products are competitively priced. The reputation of TKA is extremely important as it helps raises the profile of all members’ businesses. To this end, we need to ensure that the products you are selling through your business are of a high enough quality to be affiliated with TKA. It is a condition of this contract that for 12 months from the date of signing this contract, you only sell products that you have purchased whether in whole or in part or as a raw material through our list of suppliers. Failure to do this will be seen as a breach of contract.

If you find products of the same quality cheaper elsewhere please do let us know so we can add them to the suppliers list.
Payment from you is deemed as agreement to these Terms of Business
